Located in the heart of Lausanne, École Vinet welcomes students in the Secondary General Track (VG) from Years 9 to 11. This programme consolidates core knowledge while introducing students to the professional world. It emphasizes practical skills, teamwork, and the development of a concrete career plan. Supportive guidance, active learning methods, and high academic standards foster autonomy, self-confidence, and prepare students for thoughtful post-compulsory education choices.
All students follow the VG Level 2 curriculum. In line with the Vaud and Romandy educational plans, École Vinet’s enhanced programme ensures a solid and coherent education, opening pathways to apprenticeships, specialized training, or, depending on the student’s profile, further studies.
At École Vinet, the General Track combines high standards with a hands-on approach to spark curiosity and a love of learning. In Years 9 and 10, teaching emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, project-based pedagogy, and learning through interactive activities, making lessons engaging and participatory. Core subjects (French, Mathematics, English, and German) are taught in separate classes, while secondary subjects are taught in mixed groups. Small class sizes allow for attentive, personalized guidance, helping each student build confidence and reach their full potential.
In Year 11, the programme becomes more academically focused to prepare students effectively for the end-of-school assessments. Emphasis is placed on consolidating knowledge, individualized support, and exam preparation, while also guiding students in their choices for vocational or academic pathways.
Assistance with work planning, development of effective study methods, and supervised homework built into the schedule, allowing students to complete part of their assignments at school.
Online access to homework via the Ecole Directe app, as well as course materials, additional exercises, and answer keys through Classroom.
Participation in the Swiss LIFT program, company visits, and a mandatory internship in Year 10 to explore the world of employment.
Throughout Grade 11, students may attend additional classes in French, Mathematics, and German to strengthen their skills or prepare for Gymnase entrance exams.

At the end of Year 11, students are awarded a Level 2 secondary school certificate in VG, opening up a wide range of opportunities:
