A Glimpse into the Future: Join Our School Tour
At École Vinet, we support every family from the very first contact to make the admission process clear, simple, and personalized. Whether your child is joining compulsory education (7P–11th grade) or a post-compulsory class (RAC MATU, pre-apprenticeship), here are the key steps to know.

École Vinet welcomes students with diverse profiles and favors an individualized approach to admission. Entry conditions are primarily based on the alignment between the student’s background, needs, and the school’s educational project.
The school accepts students from age 10, from 7th grade through the end of post-compulsory education (secondary and transition classes).
Admission does not follow the standard procedure of public schools in Vaud. It is based on an individual interview with the student and their family, allowing us to assess how well the school’s support aligns with the student’s educational goals.
Age, academic history, results, motivation, and specific needs are evaluated holistically, without automatic criteria or sole reliance on grades.
Certain classes or programmes may require specific prerequisites (academic level, orientation goals, language skills, or prior results), which are assessed during the admission interview.

Families contact the school during the current school year for the following year. An on-site meeting is arranged, including a school tour. If the family decides to enroll their child, the necessary documentation and formalities are completed, and a place is reserved for the upcoming year.
During the current school year, families may contact the school to join mid-year. An on-site meeting with a school tour is arranged, and a one-week trial period can also be scheduled to get to know the school better. If the family decides to enroll their child, the admission process is completed, and the student may start mid-year, subject to availability.
Please note that for students coming from public schools, mid-year enrollment in 11th grade or the RAC programme is not possible if the goal is to take the public Gymnase admission exam in the same year.

The family contacts the school to explain their situation and the target class.

The school provides fee information and admission conditions for review.

An interview to understand the student’s needs, explain the school, and tour the campus.

To prepare for the school meeting, please bring the student’s report cards and class agenda, if available. Any other documents the family considers useful may also be presented to support the discussion.
